My name is Karine Lamboglia and I come from the Champagne region.
Born in 1968, I’m the fifth of seven children. My father was an Italian-born mosaic tiler, and my mother was a full-time mother. Empathy, kindness and solidarity are values passed on by my parents that have always guided my life choices and my behaviour towards others.
I had a passion for writing from a very early age, but on my father’s advice I decided to go into a promising career: IT.
At the end of 2022, after more than 30 years in this field, I felt it was essential to refocus my life around my values. So I decided to devote myself full-time to a project that was close to my heart: helping people through my writing. This need to write for others was born in 2017 after my mother’s long illness. While accompanying her, I realised how important and beneficial it was to remember and talk about one’s past.
My project became a realityI in 2019, when I wrote the book of his life with my father . He thought there was nothing interesting about his life, but he was enthusiastic during our discussions and proud to offer his book to his descendants. This joy and pride are the greatest reward, and confirm my choice.
Let’s not lose anything of the past. It is only with the past that we make the future.
